The Pharmacist’s Fundamental Responsibilities and Rights document includes principles that can be used as a foundation to have conversations with managers and co-workers about pharmacy workplace situations. The presentation reviews how the Fundamentals were developed, a review of both sets of principles, and examples of situations and how you can use a Fundamental principle and O-D-E-R method to talk through the situation to achieve a resolution.

It is important for student pharmacists to understand the Fundamentals and how they can be used to start conversations about pharmacy workplace issues. Faculty, use the Classroom Guide, slide deck with script, and worksheet in the classroom or in a virtual meeting.
