Ketogenic diet affects valproic acid, phenobarbital serum concentrations

Serum concentrations of valproic acid and phenobarbital appear to be significantly affected in patients receiving a ketogenic diet, whereas concentrations of other antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) seem to remain stable, according to results of an observational study published in the Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics.
