Testosterone replacement resulting in more harm than benefits
KEY POINT
Results from two testosterone replacement trials in older men with low testosterone levels showed that treatment with testosterone gel for 1 year was associated with a greater increase in coronary artery noncalcified plaque volume compared with placebo and was not associated with improvements in memory or cognitive functions.
